HMS Vikings Vs Tech Mahindra Risers

Not sure if you all remember who won IPL 2016, Sunrisers that's right. If you ask yourself why they won? Was it because of brilliant batting by David Warner? Was it because of great swing bowling from Bhuvi? Or was it because they were better overall as a Team? I would say its all of the above. A team that plays as a team wins as a team. What a game we witnessed the other day HMS Just butchered KESTE 11 and showed no mercy. Today was a new day they face a  new team , a fresh team and for sure a better team. Coming into to this game HMS Vikings had completed their unbeaten run of 10 games in a row and they had all the ammunition with them to make it 11. A good bowling line up and an explosive batting line up and to support it all a great unit on the field.

Winning 11 !!! Go Vikings
Vikings Lost the toss and were asked to bowl first, I guess last game had some influence on that decision. Ash opened the bowling attack and as said before he just "Attacked". Batsmen had no clue what hit them. The ball was zipping past the batsmen they couldn't spot the ball all they could see was ball ending up in Sai Kirans hand. Ash bowled a superb opening over taking 2 wickets in quick succession to put an early dent in TechM's batting lineup. TechM were 3/2 in 1.0 Over. Tight line and length and some brilliant catches from Sai and Shiva meant that runs were hard to come by. TechM were struggling. By the end of 5th over TechM were 22/3. Shub and Sudarshan again showed how crucial their role is in this team. Excellent variations in the bowling meant batsmen were struggling to pick them up.  With 43/5 of 9 Overs TechM had no option to just go after the bowling. But it was far to late for a master blaster of a innings. Ash bowling the penultimate over bowled a tight line and length and was rewarded with couple of wickets and ended his spell 4/7 of 3.0 Overs. Ramesh finished off in style picking couple of wicket of the last over restricting TechM for 58/9 in 12 Overs.

Vikings started their chase slowly and steadily. They knew that all they had to do was take singles and doubles and rotate the strike. Sai and Karthik did just that. Sai scored 15 Runs of 23 Balls and not even a single boundary (Captains Knock), thats how committed the boys were just. They knew they did not have to play rash shots and there was no need to panic. Karthik was middling the ball well and with his great late cuts and glances maintained his batting average by scoring 24(24) n.o. Sai eventually got out caught on the boundary for 15(23). When the runrate was creeping close to 5.5. r.p.o HMS looked somewhat troubled with 33/1 end of 7 overs, but in came the Coach himself , Ramesh. For some reason the way he walked into the pitch he looked like a man with a mission. He took matters into his own hands and just took off like a Tesla 0 to 60 in just 3 sec.. Hitting boundaries as if he was playing golf Sunday evening. Balls were disappearing over the fence  and with a blink of an eye they just needed 11 runs of last 4 overs. Ramesh just smashed one out of the park "Ball 1" and everyone knew that it was all over. Ramesh scored the winning runs and Fitting Finish..

HMS Won by 9 Wickets with 3 Overs to Spare

MVP : Ramesh ( Per Chauka.in ) But as a Blogger I think Ash's 4 Wicket Haul was the Key. So we nominate 2 MVP's this game

Ramesh and Ash
